It’s not often that I’m moved enough by a song and its visuals to stop what I’m doing and run to the Rage Robot machine—but today was different. “STORM” by GENER8ION starring Yung Lean pulled me in instantly with both its sound and striking visuals.
Created by GENER8ION (DJ Surkin and director Romain Gavras), “STORM” features Yung Lean as a high school bully causing havoc across campus. As the video shifts into its second act, we’re hit with an explosion of tightly grouped choreography, all moving in perfect sync with the track. Yung Lean’s cool, calm demeanor in the middle of that chaos keeps your eyes locked, while the song itself buries into your brain and makes itself comfortable for the rest of the day.
The track feels raw—leaning into punk and rebellious energy—giving the whole project a gritty, modern edge. “STORM” blends experimental electronic sounds with attitude, making it as vibrantly interesting as it is visually intense. This is our first encounter with GENER8ION on Rage Robot, but after this, it definitely won’t be the last.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more from both GENER8ION and Yung Lean, but for now, we’re heading into the weekend fully shook by the chaotic visuals and hypnotic energy that “STORM” delivers.
