I just hit the play button on one of my daily mixes on Spotify and was pleasantly introduced to the musical stylings of Jay Pryor. The Irish producer, DJ, songwriter, and remixer just released the acoustic version of his hit EDM record “By Now” and I gotta say it does not disappoint.
This song will capture your attention right from the jump with a piano-led vibe on the beat that proves to be the perfect complement to Jay’s effortless vocals. The song does not stray far from the original EDM record’s sound but it does do an amazing job of shining a new and emotionally charged light on it. I had a chance to check out the original and was an instant fan of that version as well. I’d say as a whole this entire project was a complete success.
This is the first impression of Jay Prior we have had on Rage Robot but I have no doubt it won’t be our last. We’ll be on the lookout for more music from the EDM up and comer but for now we’ll be vibin’ out to the acoustic rendition of “By Now” for a whole minute.
