Here we find ourselves at the beginning a grueling work week and I find myself in search of some good tunes to get me through yet another Monday. There are some tracks that hit the ear just right as soon as you hit the play button on them and I have to admit this record is one of those songs.
TOBY just released his latest single entitled “Gold” featuring the Perth based duo OTIUH and it does not disappoint. Mixed and produced by the gold coast hitmaker TOBY, this song features a hip hop-funk inspired vibe on the beat that will find its way into your head and set up camp there for a good long while. The production is new and has a sort of almost glitched out draw to it that will pull you in almost instantly. OTIUH comes through on the record with two hard-hitting verses that prove to be the cherry on top of an upbeat banger!
This is the first impression we’ve had of TOBY on Rage Robot but I have no doubt it won’t be our last. We’ll be sure to keep our ears to the ground for his next release but until then we’ll be rocking out to “Gold” for the rest of the year!
