Anklegod (Artist Profile)

With a name that had to’ve come from the blacktop, Anklegod comes to us from Vancouver, British Columbia – an area more known for ice rinks. Anklegod produces, mixes, and masters his own stuff at only eighteen years old, which made the release for his debut album “Only Time Will Tell” much anticipated.

A good mix of Bobby Raps, Don Toliver, Trippie Redd, and Ty Dolla $ign can be heard throughout the ten song album, as the litany of tracks display Anklegod’s vocal range and production versatility. Between the 1:00 and 1:30 marks of “Think I Need Some Syrup,” all I could hear was the range and style of Trippie Redd, a huge compliment considering the body of work Trippie has produced and contributed to.

This song might be Anklegod’s “Love Scars,” but it will be cool to see him chart his own course with his range. At only eighteen, he’s off to a good start.

Anklegod has since released his single “Showstopper,” which can be viewed below:

Enjoy, good people!
